The best apps for real estate agents in 2026
An agent's week is leads, follow-up, listings, showings, paperwork and posting, and there's an app for each. Most lists give you thirty. Here are 15, one or two per job, with what they cost and who they're really for.
One gap we kept seeing: the big "best apps" lists cover CRMs, signatures and design, but almost none has an app for listing videos, though video is what gets listings seen on Instagram and TikTok. That's the category we work in, so it's first on this list, and the rest are the apps we'd pick for every other part of the job.
Who wrote this: this site is made by the team behind Vidroof, which is on this list. We checked every price and feature on each tool's own website in November 2026 and say plainly who each one suits, including when it isn't us.

How to pick your stack
- Start with what loses you deals. Missed follow-up → a CRM. Listings nobody sees → video and social. Paperwork chaos → transactions.
- Check what your brokerage already pays for. Many give you a CRM, dotloop or SkySlope, or DocuSign for free.
- Free first. Canva, ChatGPT, Buffer and Mailchimp all have free plans that cover a solo agent.
- Count the cost per closing, not per month. A $69 app that wins one listing appointment has paid for itself many times.
Each tool, in detail
1. Vidroof Listing videos
This site is made by the team behind Vidroof.
Most listings never get a video because a videographer costs $200 to $500 and editing it yourself takes hours. No filming, no editing, no templates to pick. On the monthly plan you can be in the videos too: a likeness made from your headshot, speaking in your own voice.

What apps do most real estate agents use?
A CRM (Follow Up Boss is the most common on agent lists), Canva for design, an e-signature app (DocuSign or dotloop), ShowingTime for showings, and increasingly ChatGPT for writing. Video is the usual gap: most agents still post only photos.
What's the best app for listing videos?
Vidroof turns one listing link into 5 different short videos for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and Facebook, from your listing photos, with no filming or editing. See bestrealestatevideomaker.com for a full comparison of video tools.
What's the best free app for real estate agents?
Canva (design), ChatGPT (writing), Buffer (scheduling up to 3 channels) and Mailchimp (up to 250 contacts) all have free plans that cover a solo agent.
What's the best CRM for real estate agents?
Follow Up Boss for follow-up that just works ($69 per user a month). Real Geeks or Lofty if you also want the website and lead generation in one system.
Do I need Zillow Premier Agent?
Only if you want to buy buyer leads at volume. It's priced per ZIP code by demand, with Zillow citing an average of $223 per connection in major metros.
